About Me

Hello! I’m Perla

I love to decorate cookies, I love to take an idea and transform it into something special. The feeling that I have when somebody says : did you make that? is that a cookie? for real? Can you eat it? makes me feel super special because, when they taste that beautiful cookie that nobody wants to eat and they taste the flavor it creates a memory then I know I have left something special in that person and from that moment they will remember me as the cookie lady.

Pekascookies Online is because I have “freckles on my faces” in Spanish freckles means pekas my mom used to call me Pekita and that is the name I use in my Facebook account Maestra Pekita so my business is peka’s cookies online because at that time I wanted people to find me online since all my clients are from Mexico I didn’t want them to think I had a physical address I wanted everyone who was “online” to buy my classes.

What platform will the class be hosted on?

All the class will be host in my website www.pekascookiesonline.com when you pay for your class you will have a user name and a password, you can log in any time and as many times as you want.

Do I need any special equipment or supplies to take the online class?

You will need basic equipment that I am pretty sure you have around your house, basic stuff like oven, mixer, scale, cookie sheets, measuring spoons, good knife, food color blue, yellow, red, white, black, printer, parchment paper, scissors, pencil. the full list of materials will be in the class.

Will I receive a supply list or kit prior to the class?

Yes. you have a list with all the materials and also template to start working on your cookies.

How long is the online class?

Depending on the complexity of the cookie, I like to recorded the videos and do not edit anything so If I do any mistake you can see how I fix it, I do not edit my videos so everything is in real time.

How much does the online class cost?

You can buy and keep access forever or rent the video and have access for 30 days.

Can I take the online class at my own pace, or is it a live class?

You can take the class at your own place, you will have the recorded videos and you can make the class watching the videos, or make a little bit let dry and come back, this class suppose to be fun so make sure you enjoy the process.

Will I have access to the class materials after the class is over?

If you buy the class permanent yes, if you rent it only for 30 days but, you can take your own notes and print out your templates.

Is there a private online class option for a group of people?

No. Any questions you may have you can write in the lesson section or you can write to me directly by email pekascookiesonline@gmail.com and I will respond as soon as I can.

How do I ask questions during the online class?

In each lesson will have a question area where you can write your questions and I will answer as soon as I can.

Are there any prerequisite skills required for the online class?

No, believe me if I can decorate cookies you can I have no education as an artist like painting or design, anything I know is achieve by practice Everyone can decorate cookies this is super easy of course the quality will improve with practice and time.

Is the online class suitable for beginners or advanced cookie decorators?

It is perfect for people who wants to start from scratch or to improve your skills, all levels are welcome.

How many people are typically in an online class?

I do have 100 students in my monthly subscription and I have more than 3000 students since 2015, you can see some reviews in my facebook page @pekascookiesonline

Do I need any specific software or technology to take the online class?

You need internet and you can watch the videos in your cellphone, tablet or PC

What is the refund policy for the online class?

Since this is a online class I do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations all payments are final.

What are your Terms of Use?

This class is only for the exclusive use of the student, it is prohibited to reproduce, copy, share, resell or redistribute part or all of the class material, it is prohibited to use the designs, or content of this class to execute or want to teach in the future the same class. I recommend developing your own skills for teaching purposes, any violation of any of the terms may lead to possible legal action and removal of access to the content without notice and permanently with no refund.
